The S factor spirituality

A lion cub that strayed from his family and got lost in the woods. He was adopted by donkeys. In those days the washer man used their donkeys to carry the washing. The older donkeys taught the lion cub how to do that and how to bray.
The lion cub made a horrible donkey. His donkey family thought there was something essentially wrong with him.

He needed some balancing, some therapy because he couldn't bray well. He wasn't good at doing any of the donkey things. He felt that too and had tearing thoughts that "I'm a bad donkey. I'm a loser'.

He took all the courses and workshops and tried earnestly to improve himself but nothing worked.

Then one day a great lion came upon the scene. He saw all those donkeys in a row, carrying the wash and there was the lion cub carrying the wash too and he was offended. He thought what is he doing there and roared. All the donkeys ran away, except the lion cub who was too naive.

When he saw the lion he said ' Don't eat me! Don't eat me!

But the great lion said, 'No, No, No' come here with me & took him to the river. He said ' Look at our reflections in the river and what to you see?. The donkey said, 'Are you also Donkey!? and the lion said 'No, you fool, you are a Lion'.

The lion of course represent our true self and the donkey represents our ego self. We play games, we worry, we bend ourselves to please other people. We don't have to do any of that, always we have that great glory within us. So the young lion awoke, began to roar and learned about his own true nature.

This is our story. We are lions that have become donkeys. The story of our soul progress in this world is the story of a descent into something lower, something less than what we actually are;a loss to our glory.

In the Wordsworth poem' the ode to immortality'. The child comes trailing clouds of glory from heaven and as he becomes socialised , he loses it. We love young children because they have a divine quality, a memory of that oneness and ecstasy. As they get older, it falls away and they become neurotic like everybody else.

This is our story, we come from something noble and become something contracted.

The great lion comes and tells us, you know you are not that and then we start to roar. That's the rest of the story and that's called spirituality or awakening.
